What is Chiropractic?
Every day, you and I are faced with physical, emotional, and nutritional stresses. The quality of our lives depends on how well our bodies adapt to and overcome these stresses.
The central nervous system, which consists of the brain and spinal cord, is responsible for coordinating the function of every muscle, cell, tissue, and organ in the body as well as adapting to and overcoming the stresses it is exposed to.
The brain communicates with the rest of the body by sending healing messages down the spinal cord and out through the nerves to the rest of the body. When the nervous system is working properly, the body is able to heal and function normally. In fact, your body is designed to heal itself.
However, interference in the nervous system can prevent that healing from taking place. When the spine moves out of proper alignment, it causes interference in the communication between the brain and the rest of the body. This interference is known as subluxation. If the interference is left there long enough, it leads to sickness and disease.
Chiropractors gently realign the bones in your spine, restoring the communication between your brain and the rest of the body.
Our primary focus is to detect and correct subluxations to allow for proper nerve function. We do that through state of the art scanning technology, a nerve scan, a muscle scan, a digital range of motion analysis, a computerized posture evaluation, and a spinal examination.
